Meet The New Audi A4
Audi has taken the wraps off the latest in the series of the Audi A4. Featuring a styling overhaul, the latest A4 is an answer to the all-new BMW 3-Series which has recently hit showrooms.
In the face of upcoming competition from the likes of Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes, all of which have cars competing for sales in this space, it was only timely then that Audi had to make the case to update the A4.
The Jaguar XE and BMW 3-Series have all been on the receiving end of updates as has the rest of the Audi range recently. The latest generation in the long-running A4 range sees a number of changes that includes the new Audi design philosophy around the grille and front and rear aprons, whilst a heavily revised bonnet adds a new dynamic with more heavily defined lines dictating the overall look of this model.
Inside there have also been changes. The A4 see’s a revised interior with a vast array of new trims and technology. In, is the new MMI infotainment system which features a 10.1in screen at its heart and has the ability to be controlled by voice or touch commands. This new tech feature takes centre stage on the dashboard.
Other additional changes see a digital instrument cluster and a Heads Up Display to allow for better display of vehicle vitals.
The A4 is now into a crowded market space and in a market where there is a clear demand for SUV’s vs a wide and thorough selection of saloons, the new A4 has to really stand out if its to continue to stay as one of Audi’s best selling models. With the revised model due to go on sale towards the end of this year, it will be interesting to see how it performs.
